What is Finance?
Finance is a branch of science that deals with the management of funds and allocation of assets and liabilities under conditions of certainty and uncertainty. Basic concept of finance is the time value of money, which states that a unit of currency today is worth more than the same unit of currency tomorrow, or in simple words, currency continues to depreciate over time. Basic aim of finance is to price asset items keeping in view their risk level and the expected rate of return. Finance is further divided into three categories: public finance, corporate finance and personal finance.
