Package Description
One of the most commonly used programming languages out there, C++ is an intermediate level language, since it incorporates elements from both low level and high level. Programming languages are complicated and difficult to use – the tiniest mistake can lead to a major change in the final result, and for this reason, learning to program properly in any computer language is essential.
Whether you are a beginner hoping to grasp the basics, or an advanced learner looking for a refresher course, this brief yet comprehensive package is a fool-proof way to mastering the fundamentals of C++ and learning to write programs in the language. The best part is that the course is completely free, with no strings attached.
The course is based on the textbook titled Accelerated C++, by Andrew Koenig and Barbara E. Moo, and part one covers chapters 0 through 6 in particular. No prior knowledge of C++ is required, and you can dive right in. The first part focuses on teaching aspects of C++ that you will most likely use in day-to-day programming.
Commencing the course with a brief introduction, I’ve proceeded to move into problem solving and explaining how to use the C++ standard library. The course contains 7 lectures and more than 5.5 hours of content.
By the time you are finished with the course, you will know all about:
- How to work with strings and if statements
- How to loop and work with batches of data
- How to organize programs
- How to organize data and use sequential containers
- How to use library algorithms
