Known widely as the pizza capital of the world, Rome is also home to classic Italian pasta, excellent wine, and creamy, smooth gelato. Since my first trip, all subsequent visits have seen me enthusiastically sampling everything Rome has to offer, and since I am usually on a tight budget, my main focus has been on finding the places that offer most value for the least amount of money.
